| Half way there to the '08 NJ Marathon, and hopefully the NYC marathon. Ran my first half marathon, which was down to lake parsippany, around it 3 times, up to the school, and a few tinier loops on the back roads.

| It's almost been 2 weeks since I started logging my runs with Nike+. I have come to realize the following about running. I need to keep buying stupid stuff to keep me interested (i.e. technology, shoes, apparel), and I need to keep trying to improve. I've settled right now, and looking back to the beginning of the year, there have been a lot of plateaus where I kind of sit at for a while before wanting to push harder and further. The first was running 2 miles 25 minutes consistently. I sat there for a while, and pushed it another 10 minutes, and then another 10. Then came speed work, well not really...apparently once I got off the treadmill, my pace went up quite a bit. So here I am, settled at about 6 miles a day...I feel like I could push it to 8 miles a day, but I'm being lazy about it. Does anyone else have Nike+?

| i really need to start opening my mail. i always get all this junk mail, so i disregard it, or i just tear up my bills since i pay them online. this letter was intriguing, it caught my eye. the return address was "After 5 days return to customer service, blahblah." i thought whatever could this be, that it would be returned. normally i would have thrown the letter out thinking it was an ed mcmahon-esque ploy for me to win 5 million dollars or whoever that publishers clearing house man is, but today was different. to think i almost threw out my fall out boy tickets. open your mail. you never know when what you ordered will come.
step it up one level of stupid.
i was so excited sherwood was playing, i only read up to clifton, and i assumed clifton nj. i purchased the tickets, read the order, and realized it's clifton park, NY. ROAD TRIP...a 3 hour one...with a stop at woodbury commons, YESSSSSSSSSS.

| when i went to hongkong i saw a girl that had a bag with a funny phrase. the bag in big letters said "Old people should shut the fuck up!" i laughed because i didn't know if she knew what that meant as true as it was. a few years later, i find myself wondering the same thing about elva.
